We would like to thank everyone who joined us for the 2007 Allegan Paranormal Conference. The conference was a huge success, with our evening events sold out and a great turnout for classes held at the Griswold Auditorium. The best part for us was the opportunity to meet so many of you and we are looking forward to crossing paths again soon. Plans for this year's conference are well underway and we are working hard to offer an educational and fun weekend that will touch on different aspects of the paranormal. Back by popular demand are the Old Museum Ghost Tours and Haunted Allegan Walking Ghost Tours, as well as some special new haunted spots in Allegan - each with their own ghostly tales and legends- that we plan to investigate. Here is the schedule:

Friday Night 7:00 - 10:00 PM

Kristy Robinett, Internationally Renowned Psychic Medium - "Children and the Paranormal" Kristy is an internationally renowned Psychic Medium and author. She has touched the lives of thousands of people giving spiritual guidance and reunited them with their family and friends who have crossed over. She has a background in theatre, education in psychology and business, is assisting in a documentary about women ghost hunters and is in talks regarding a new reality television show. Kristy donates her time assisting law enforcement agencies with investigations involving missing persons, murder, suicide, arson and psychically profiling criminals. She will be speaking on the inherent psychic ability children possess which is often attributed to vivid imagination by adults. Maybe those "imaginary friends" aren't so imaginary! Kristy will also be doing a short gallery reading for the audience.

Amy Williamson, Founder of Haunted Hillsdale and The League of Extraordinary Paranormal Women - "So You Want to be a Ghost Hunter" For those of you who are interested in the field of paranormal investigation, you don't want to miss Amy Williamson as she shares her experience and knowledge on the basics of being a ghost hunter. Amy has her her BA in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology and Communications. She has maintained a career working with Women in the Social Services field for over 13 years. Amy proudly states that she is a social worker to the living by day and a social worker to the dead by night! She is the founder of the League of Extraordinary Women and co-host of ParaWomenRadio that airs on Thursday nights at 8:00 P.M.

Saturday Conference Classes, Workshops and Speakers

9:00 - 9:45 A.M. - Registration for conference and individual readings

10:00 - 11:00 A.M. - Revs. Curt and Penny Schellenberg, Church of Christ in Spirit - "Divination Tools - Connecting to the Other Side" Learn about how different divination tools can help you connect with the other side. Curt and Penny will guide you through the process and offer alternative methods to use. They will also doing a gallery reading for those in attendance.

11:15 - 12:15 - Kass Hillard - Certified reflexologist, certified hypnotist, and Reiki Master. Kass is an ordained minister, holds a bachelor degree in Metaphysical Science and is the owner of Reflexions Plus in Allegan. Her genuine concern for others, including those who have passed on, have made her an invaluable asset to Michigan Paranormal Encounters in all things spiritual. Kass will be leading this workshop on "Past Life Regression". Learn how this fascinating process works and helps us to connect with past lives in order to learn from past life experiences. Kass will lead participants in a group past life regression.

1:15 - 2:15 - Bonnie Siegers - Psychic Medium - "Connecting With Your Spirit Guides" Bonnie is a well respected and gifted Psychic Medium here in West Michigan. She will show us how to connect with our spirit guides in this one-hour workshop.

2:30 - 3:30 - : Kass Hillard - Chakra Divination: In this interactive class, you will create your own unique chakra divination board and pendulum, and learn how to use them. All materials will be provided.

3:45 - 5:00 - Kathy Conder, "Living Among Ghosts" Co-founder and Director of Michigan Paranormal Encounters, Kathy has been investigating the paranormal for 14 years and been intrigued by it for as long as she can remember. Listen as she takes you along on some of her many adventures in this country and beyond. Some of these encounters will have you using a nightlight for weeks while others will make you laugh. Find out what life is really like when you live among ghosts!

Walking Lantern Ghost Tour

Friday, 10:30 PM - Join us Friday night to learn about Allegan's haunted history as you stroll through the streets of downtown Allegan by lantern light. Departs from the front of The Center promptly at 10:30 PM. Tickets must be purchased in advance and group size is limited so be sure to get your reservations in early! Tickets are $12

Ghost Tour of the Old Jail Museum

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT

Friday Night 10:30-Midnight - This is a unique opportunity to investigate a historic haunted location first hand . The Old Jail Museum was built in 1906 and housed the sheriff and his family as well as jail inmates for many years. One cell block has been preserved in its original condition and is one area of reported paranormal activity. Bring your cameras and recorders. Who knows what you will find... Tickets for this event are $25 and since the group size will be limited, reserve yours soon! Last year, we offered this tour on two nights and both sold out very early.

"Channeling A Murder Mystery"

7 PM Saturday- Sheri Hawk - If you enjoyed playing the game of "Clue," you will find this workshop very intriguing and enlightening. Audience members form teams to channel the information from their Angels to help them solve their piece of the puzzle. This is one of the most exciting and unique experiences ever found in a psychic development course. The workshop attendees are given psychic clues to work on a real crime case that Sheri was involved in, while she connects with the victim. The teams of "Psychic Detectives" will come up with a motive, a suspect and a weapon. Tickets are $25 Materials are included and lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Saturday Late Night Ghost Hunt at The Old Church

10:30 PM -This beautiful Allegan landmark stands empty now. Many believe churches are among those locations that are the most paranormally active. Come find out for yourself as you become ghost hunter for a night with members of MPE. Bring your cameras - you never know what you might find or what may find you!! This is an adults only event and will be limited to 25 people so get your tickets early. Tickets are $25 per person.
