Welcome, cosmic warriors. I’m astrologer Aliza Kelly Faragher, and this is Attract astrology, a section dedicated to everything related to magic. Today we are going to learn how to harness our psychic abilities. No need for a crystal ball, these gifts are already deeply ingrained in your mind.

As an astrologer, tarot reader, and practitioner of the occult, it’s fairly easy for me to tell if a client is psychic – certain planetary locations in a birth chart, playing cards, or even casual conversations about the man reveal extrasensory perceptions of an individual. While I am always delighted to meet other super-feelingers and eager to share my observations, I always proceed with caution: being a medium is not easy, and many people have misperceptions of what this gift really entails. . Working with psychic skills takes patience, practice, and a lot of self-esteem.

I realized that when many of us hear the word ‘psychic’ we imagine a neon-lit storefront adorned with crystal balls, fog machines, and animatronic contraptions that manipulate supernatural events – the true essence of ‘smoke and mirrors. “From an early age we are warned by our parents that these services are scams and begin to associate psychic gifts, in general, as questionable and fraudulent. The otherworldly events that we experience in childhood are often discredited, and even when we explore divination practices in adulthood, we are always quick to raise an eyebrow at the word “psychic.”

For many of us, the first step in harnessing our extrasensory abilities is to separate this concept from deception. While there are certainly many charlatans who either exaggerate their skills or invent them entirely, these individuals are not psychics: they are con artists who use fear tactics to pray over gullible or vulnerable individuals. In most cases, pretending to be psychic is just one of the many exploitative ploys these impostors have.

Mediums, on the other hand, are simply individuals capable of seeing, hearing, smelling, smelling, tasting, or gutting beyond the limits of the physical world. It is difficult, if not impossible, to define with certainty what society considers a “normal” perception. After all, we are conditioned to believe that our perception of reality is pretty concrete: we assume that everyone knows the sky as blue or can detect when someone is in a bad mood. But as we continue to expand this sensory spectrum, we quickly realize that certain senses are becoming less and less common among our peers. It is through this awareness that many of us become aware of our unique and inherent psychic gifts.
