Great Florida Bigfoot Conference Brings Believers to Lakeland
LAKELAND, Florida – Ryan Golembeske thinks Florida is one of the best places to have a Bigfoot experience. The avid Bigfoot researcher will host the Great Florida Bigfoot conference in Lakeland this Saturday.
“If you want to have a real experience with what we call here ‘the skunk monkey’, you have a great opportunity to do that,” Golembeske explained.
The cryptozoologist suggested that anyone interested in seeing a skunk monkey should head to national parks and go further, off the trails. Stormy season is where these monkeys move the most, according to Golembeske.
In the age of technology and social media, there still hasn’t been any concrete photo or video evidence of a Bigfoot sighting.
“People pass by these things all the time, but we are too egotistical to be there,” Golembeske insisted.
David Sidoti has been researching Bigfoot for over two decades. He says evidence of the creature has emerged across the country, including here in Polk, Pinellas, Citrus and Hernando counties.
“I believe, because of the available evidence that proves these creatures are real,” said Sidoti, who will be one of the conference speakers.
He showed FOX 13 a photo of a fingerprint he said was made by Bigfoot.
“I guess one would be around 9 feet tall,” he said. “Over 1,000 pounds.”
The event organizer says that for many Bigfoot believers, the conference is a safe area to speak openly about their experiences.
“So you’ve got a lot of these people who are going to keep these stories that they’ve had all their lives and sometimes never talk about it or share it. You bring them into a crowd like this where they have real believers and they will open up and talk about it to see if there’s something there, ”Marty Pippin said.
Attendees will hear from Bigfoot researchers like Cliff Barackman, James “Bobo” Fay and Stacy Brown Jr. The stars of Finding Bigfoot will also be at the conference.
“If you are on the fence, even if you are skeptical, come out because there is no way all these people are in the crowd, every person is a liar. That is not true,” added Golembeske.
The conference will take place at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland on Saturday July 10. Tickets range from $ 20 to $ 50 and can be purchased online.
